Massachusetts General Hospital/Partners Healthcare System, Vivarium Exhaust Renovation
Massachusetts General Hospital/Partners Healthcare hired DCBA to reconfigure the exhaust air system for an animal research facility. Scope included demolishing common exhaust ductwork and installing new exhaust fans, new controls, and control wiring. In addition, DCBA provided new electrical feeds for the exhaust fans and reworked phoenix exhaust valves. This undertaking required special coordination with the building tenants, building operations, and the client as the exhaust system served a functioning animal research facility. All exhaust tie-ins were sequenced to minimize downtime to the laboratory.
